Let’s talk about burgers! I mean, burgers are so American and so New Yorkers! Today I’ve decided to list my favorite burgers in the City. Those that I’ve tried a lot of times and I would repeat and I think are worth the experience. Maybe many are not new, nor are the most popular, but it is my personal list and I thought it was worth sharing with you.

Shake Shack – the chain that was born here in New York must appear in the lists of 8 out of 10 people coming to NYC. There are those who love, there are those who do not see anything special – I love it! But here’s the thing: it’s not a gourmet concept, it’s a fast-food burger, so, let’s not create high expectations, right? My orders: SmokeShack, with bacon, and ‘Shroom Burger, vegetarian burger, with fried mushroom and cheese filling. And of course, you can not miss the fries, a classic. Price: from $5. There are several locations in New York.

Umami Burger – this Los Angeles chain is highly renowned and it arrived in New York in 2013. They offer 11 varieties of burgers, with interesting ingredients. Here we can say: it is a gourmet concept, with high-quality meat. One of the best I’ve eaten here in New York. My choice is the Truffle burger, with truffled aioli, with, of course, truffle fries. The average price is between $ 12 and $ 14 – and there are vegetarian options!
Locations: Brookfield Place – 230 Vesey St

BareBurger – BareBurger has been for four consecutive years among the city’s top 10 burgers in a Zagat election. And the burgers have quite different recipes and various, well-diversified ingredients. El Matador, for example, has a Mexican style (jalapenos, guacamole, and fresh cheese). They use organic ingredients. My order: Supreme, which features bacon and onion rings. Also, the onion rings from BareBurger are delicious. And more: BareBurger has vegetarian and vegan options. Average price: $13. There are several locations in New York.

Burger Joint – it is a super cool place, famous because of the location hidden behind the curtains in the lobby of the Le Parker Meridien hotel. The place is tiny, there is no table service and you get a menu to check what you want in your burger: meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise. All simple – and very yummy! Average price: $7
Locations: 119 W 56th St (hotel) / 220 36th Street (Brooklyn)

Kings of Kobe – this place specializes in burgers with American Wagyu “Kobe Style” Beef. The unique taste and tenderness of highly marbled Wagyu beef create an unrivaled eating experience. That is why Wagyu beef is finding its way into the repertoires of gourmet cooks and fine restaurants across the US. But do not expect anything fancy at Kings of Kobe. The place is small with a few tables, casual atmosphere. You place the order at the cashier and wait for it to be ready. The menu features 6 options – including a vegan one. $15 on average
Address: 790 9th Ave.
