“Why did you decide to launch this project?”

“Why did you decide to launch this project?”
That’s what my guest from earlier today asked me before we started recording our conversation.

Because I believe it’s easier to relate to and feel inspired by stories from “ordinary” people. Because I’m genuinely curious about other people’s stories. And because women deserve to be celebrated and put in the spotlight.

And this is my not-so-glamorous, behind-the-scenes reality: working hard on something I’m deeply passionate about and truly believe in.

Hopefully, one day this won’t be a one-woman show anymore, and I’ll look back at this photo feeling incredibly grateful to this version of myself.

The year has barely started… so I guess recaps are still allowed?

Between audiobooks and physical books, I read 17 books in 2025. And although I know this is probably not a super impressive number, I will allow myself to celebrate this achievement, especially considering how much time we waste scrolling.

I was not feeling like putting any effort this day… but I felt so much better after! I guess this a reminder that taking an extra step is an act of self care 🥰 For the record, I’m feeling like this today again, and my act of self care was putting some makeup and choosing a comfy outfit to go out for lunch.

Today I literally cried on my way back from a danc

Today I literally cried on my way back from a dance class where I felt like a failure. I couldn’t follow the choreography, and all the girls around me seemed to be doing so well and so confidently. I felt disconnected and misplaced - like I didn’t belong there.

Later, Thiago reminded me that 12 years ago we moved to NYC. Well, technically it was still January 3rd when our plane landed at JFK, but I guess I could say January 4th was our first official day as NYC residents - and maybe this is just me coming up with a new perspective for this story because I forgot to post something yesterday, like I do every year, lol.

So, yeah, if I was brave enough to move to another country with two suitcases and managed to figure out how to speak the language, find an apartment, assemble furniture, do laundry, buy groceries, finding my people, and, most importantly, find myself in this new land and reinventing my life a couple of times… I guess I can try a dance class again.

As one of my guests recently said on my podcast @transplants.pod : “If you’re gonna go so far as to move to a foreign country, you can already say that you are a bold and awesome woman - and let that lead you forward into whatever you wanna do.”

Happy AnNYversary to us! 🗽✨ This caroussel features just some random and not so random moments from these 12 years calling this city home.

I was so excited when the tailor told me she could transform my dress into a sweater! If you live in NYC, and need alterations or revamping an item, I highly recommend @artoflaundrynyc ! They are located in East Harlem - second time I use their services and it’s 10/10!

Part of me feels like bragging, but another part f

Part of me feels like bragging, but another part feels proud.
2025 was a very intense year, and I feel it was a year when I spent more time doing things for myself and fulfilling some old dreams.

Of course, my meltdowns, insecurities, and fears are not pictured. Neither is the fact that this was probably the year when I had the fewest paid campaigns - meaning I made much less money - lost a lot of followers, questioned my choices more than once, and doubted myself countless times.

But I’m ending this year feeling hopeful and excited about what’s coming.

Happy New Year! And please celebrate your wins!
