Brunch at The View – revolving rooftop restaurant in New York City

The View is one of the experiences that were in my (no-ending) bucket list here in New York. This is a restaurant that is located on the 47th floor of the New York Marriott Marquis, in the heart of Times Square. For the location, on top of a building, you can imagine that one of the highlights of the place is the view, right? In addition, it has a very special detail: no matter the location of your table, you will have the whole view, since it is a revolving restaurant. And, to conclude, on Sundays, they offer a brunch buffet with a fixed price. Cool, huh? We were there last week and today I will share our experience with you.

The New York Marriott Marquis is a gigantic hotel. To get to the restaurant, you enter the lobby, up the escalators, check-in with a host – and check your coat if you wish, and go up to the 47th floor in a transparent elevator, which is pretty cool. We had a reservation for 11.30 am and, upon arriving, were quickly accommodated at our table, next to the window.

On Sundays only, The View offers brunch from 10 am to 1.30 pm. The buffet features three stations. One with assorted bread, bagels, and cakes – everything is freshly baked – salads and also cheeses, salami, ham. The other station – and the largest one – features hot food. There are pasta, salmon, chicken, and vegetables, plus the typical American brunch options such as bacon, eggs, potatoes, and waffles. At the same station, you will find an omelet and pancakes bar as well. The last station is the desserts one, with a varied range of cheesecake and other delights, plus a chocolate fountain, to make your own fondue with fruit and marshmallows. There are coffee and juice and the brunch even includes two Mimosas per person. All this for the price of  $65 per person (not including taxes and tips). You can click here and check all the options of the buffet. We tried a bit of everything and loved it. Fresh, well prepared, and delicious food. Also, I have to highlight the great service from the staff: all super attentive and friendly.
