MY ROUTINE STUDYING FRENCH IN PARIS at @alliance_francaise_paris 🇫🇷

I guess the most surprising thing about this experience is realizing that studying is a full-time job 😂 my brain can’t function properly after 4h studying French.

Jokes aside, this has been such an incredible, exciting and challenging experience and I’m very grateful for it.

On top of that, being able to build some routine and getting to explore Paris with my sister is definitely a plus that I don’t take it for granted!

@adidas10kparis was a special one (but they could do better with the bathroom situation!). I can’t think of a more perfect course than this!

The parisians also brought a lot of good energy! And having my sister and her husband cheering me on made everything even more special!

And please don’t forget to check @peppe.family - they have a few locations in Paris and I’m honestly still thinking about those pizza!

When I first heard about this race, I knew it was going to be an epic one, so I signed up immediately since I was going to be in Paris. Such a BEAUTIFUL and unforgettable course 😭😭😭 I was emotional.

Although I had some pain by the middle of the course and had to walk for a min, I finished strong and proud of myself. Plus, it was very special having my sister @flaneriephoto and my brother in law cheering me up along the way 🥹🥹🥹

🇫🇷I’VE BEEN PLANNING THIS FOR A YEAR — and it’s finally happening: I’m taking an intensive French course at Alliance Française de Paris! @alliance_francaise_paris

(And it feels amazing to chase the dreams little Laura once had!)

@alliance_francaise_paris is a prestigious institution, recognized worldwide. They offer immersive courses for all levels, with clear objectives tailored to your goals.

I started my course on Monday, and I’m genuinely impressed — from the classes to the extracurricular activities, Alliance Française de Paris provides a strong foundation for full immersion in the French language.

Not to mention... Paris. I mean, do I really need to say more?

🏞️2-day getaway in the Hudson Valley

Thiago and I love to escape the city sometimes and explore the Hudson Valley. Over the Memorial Day weekend, we spent two days in Hyde Park and explored some spots around.

🚗Car Rental: for us, it was so convenient to take the Metro-North and pick-up a car in Poughpeesie. Not only we skipped Manhattan’s traffic (it’s so annoying), but the pick-up was so fast and if you compare, it’s cheaper than picking up in some locations in the city.

🏠 This Airbnb had stunning views. It rained most of the days, but we were able to witness a beautiful sunset.

Places mentioned on the video:

🥧 @justalittlepieshop- hands down the best discovery during this trip. They have different flavors of pie, and also build your pie (savory and sweet options). I thought I didn’t like American pies until I tried this one.

🍬From the same owners, try @amandasmacaronshoppe too! Their macarons are delicious!

🥗 For healthy food - we loved @chakrabowls, serving salads, bowns and smoothies

🍹 For dinner and drinks - @farmersandchefshv (portions were generous!)

🧁In Hudson, make sure to stop by @alittlerico for nourishing dishes and confort latin food, @melthebakery - their almond chocolate croissant was insane, @SupernaturalCoffeehudson for a capuccino and a slice of their orange olive oil cake and @oldehudson for specialty foods.

🌉 Still in Poughkeepsie, you shoul definetely check Walkway Over the Hudson, a pedestrian and bike bridge and in Hyde Park, make sure to stop by Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt (it is stunning in the Fall).

Sharing this here as a reminder to myself too!

🇫🇷 I started to take French lessons (with @karlacostafrances ) a little bit over a year ago. I was super excited when I started. Then I got frustrated... and then, at some point, I had to remind myself that it was a marathon, not a sprint. I should enjoy the process.

I mean, I’ve been learning English since I was 10 (?). So, yeah, I guess this will take time but I should give myself credit. And also: this was supposed to be fun.

Things take time. Whatever you are starting to do: learning a language, running, or baking, remember that progress take time and failures are part of the process of learning. I know it sounds cliche, but I had to remind myself of this so many times.

👱‍♀️Obsessed with this brush from @patternbeauty - I’ve always loved sleek buns, and this brush changed the game for me. You don’t even need a lot of styling product.

👙This wireless bra and these undies from @bondsaus are so comfortable! I’ve be wearing them non-stop

👚I was looking for some great quality crop tops and after a lot of research I found these ones from @cutswomen and I’m very satisfied with the fit and the fabric.

🏃‍♀️Summer is here, which means I can use shorts for running and these ones from @on are excellent because they feature 3 pockets! And the sports bra provides a lot of support (I don’t have the link for this, but it’s the Performance Short tights)

🧥 I wanted a light jacket like this for mild weather (Spring/Fall) and I love this short trench coat style design. This is from @bananarepublicfactory

💆🏼‍♀️ @itcosmetics products always impress me. This concealer provides such a natural coverage!

🧴Finally got the famous @ilmakiage foundation - a friend had recommended me. Great coverage, natural matte finish.
