I’ve heard a lot of good things about All’Antico Vinaio - and a friend reminded me about this spot some weeks ago and we decided to try it, right before a Broadway show.

OMG. We got La Paradiso - can I get 3 pounds of that Pistachio cream, please? Don’t get fooled: the sandwich is HUGE, and Thiago said he was very satisfied after we shared one - that can be a great tip for eating on a budget because each sandwich ranges from $15 to $20.

It’s not a fancy place, it’s tight, but trust me: you will be happy. PS: they have vegetarian options

🇧🇷 Um pedacinho de Florença em Nova York! Salva essa dica se vc quer comer bem e barato!

Eu tinha ouvido maravilhas sobre a sanduícheria All’Antico Vinaio - até que a Rê do @vpd_ny me falou mais umas maravilhas desse lugar e fomos lá antes de um show da Broadway.

GENTE? A gente pediu o La Paradiso - dica da Rê - com um creme de pistache que eu comeria de quilos + mortadella e queijo. Não se engane: o sanduíche é ENORME e, para referência, Thiago disse que ele não daria conta de um inteiro. E isso acaba fazendo com que esse seja um excelente spot pra quem tá fazendo uma viagem mais econômica, já que os sanduíches custam entre $15 e $20 (e, dividido por 2, fica bem acessível).

O lugar não tem pompa, é bem apertadinho, mas olha... a gente saiu de lá muito feliz hahah

Tem versões vegetarianas!

ONE OF THE BESTS BURGERS IN NYC

@auchevaldiner has been on my list for a long time and we finally checked out last Saturday. This restaurant from Chicago opened in NYC in 2019 and their holy grail is the burger: a double patties , sharp Cheddar blend, airy toasted bun, dijonnaise - and you can add bacon and egg.

Well, I was super excited to try and it exceeded my expectations. We got ours with bacon and that was the cherry on top. The dijonnaise is also delicious, the meat is juicy. It's an explosion of flavors on every bite. Worth every penny - $21,99 + $6,99 (for the bacon). It's among my top favorite burgers in NYC.
CORRECTION: It doesn’t come with fries, but I suggest you to order it.

We also ordered the Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich ($36,99) which was good but not worth it.

Make a reservation, it's a busy restaurant!

O Au Cheval @auchevaldiner tava na minha lista há um tempão e finalmente fomos conferir no sábdo. Esse restaurante é de Chicago e abriu em NYC em 2019 e o item mais famoso do menu é o burger: duplo, com queijo cheddar, pão tostado, um molho dijonnaise (maionese e mostarda dijon) e você pode add bacon e ovo.

Bem, eu tava bem animada pra provar - e superou minhas expectativas. Pedimos o nosso com bacon, que foi a cereja do bolo. A dijonnaise também é uma delícia, a carne é suculenta. Uma explosão de sabores a cada mordida. Valeu cada centavo $21,99 + 6,99 do bacon. CORREÇÃO: não vem com fritas, mas recomendo pedir tbm!

Também pedimos o Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich ($36,99), que estava gostoso, mas não valeu tanto assim.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition runs through January 8, 2024 in New York City and if you love the HP world, you can’t miss it. I’ve never hidden the fact that I’m not a fan - nothing against it, lol, I just missed the timing. But I visited with a friend that is obsessed with it and trust me, it’s legit. I’ve only watched the first movie and I got some of the references - so I’m sure the fans will not be disappointed. You will probably need at least 90 minutes to get through everything.

Props, costumes, characters, and locations from the Harry Potter film series are brought to life - it’s more than an exhibition, it’s a true experience.

Tickets start at $29,40 (adult) and there are 2-for-11 time slots available (you get 2 tickets for the price of 1)

Harry Potter: The Exhibition vai até dia 8 de janeiro em Nova York e se você ama o mundo HP não pode perder. Nunca escondi o fato que não sou fã - nada contra, apenas perdi o timing. Mas fui com uma amiga que ama e acredite, vale super a pena. Só assist ao primeiro filme e já catei muitas referências - certeza que quem é fã não vai sair desapontado. Você vai precisar de pelo menos 90 minutos pra checar tudo com calma.

Objetos, figurino e locais da franquia ganham vida - é mais que uma exibição, é uma experiência imersiva.

Os ingressos começam em $29,40 (adulto) e tem alguns horários onde você consegue comprar 2 ingressos pelo preço de 1 tbm.

I remember that I discovered this activity on Tik Tok and I got obsessed about it - and it was not a trap. We were able to do the tour at the end of the fall foliage - peak season is probably even better!

🛤️They have quad and tandem options - for 2 and 4 people
😎It’s a guided tour - but there’s enough distance between each “bike”
💰It’s about $45 per person
‼️Hurry, a lot of dates are already sold out!
🚗For car rental, I recommend Turo or Getaround, since it’s more convenient to pick up the car
🍁If you are planning a long weekend, I would suggest exploring Woodstock, which is nearby - and I have a full blog post about things to do!

Today is Thiago's birthday - and since Monday is not the best day to celebrate, I decided to make the best of our weekend. He really loves Back to the Future franchise so I surprised him with tickets on Friday.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything and it was EVERYTHING!!!! So much fun and what about the special effects? I was speechless. We absolutely loved it!

We got mezzanine seats and honestly it couldn't be better for the experience!

🇧🇷 De volta ao futuro - o musical

Hoje é aniver do Thiago - e já que segunda-feira não é o melhor dia pra celebrar, eu decidi aproveitar o fim de semana. Ele ama o filme De volta ao futuro então fiz uma surpresa e comprei tickets pro musical e fomos conferir na sexta.

Honestamente? Não estava esperando nada e entregou absolutamente TUDO! Foi incrível... e o que dizer dos efeitos especiais? Sem palavras, a gente amou!
