MY FIRST HALF-MARATHON IS A WEEK AWAY 🏃‍♀️

I can’t believe! I put my name in the lottery and I thought: let’s allow the universe to decide. It was right after the NYC Marathon, and I guess I was inspired my my friends who had ran half and full marathons.

I’ve been training for 3 months and the cold weather scared me at first, but I think I nailed the perfect outfit for my long outdoor runs. I decided to share this video to inspire anyone who has been thinking about running but is scared of the weather.

Except for the days I include an extra long sleeve layer, this was my go-to outfit:

🏃‍♀️Compression leggings that stay in place and feature a lot of pockets.

🏃‍♀️Thermal layer + windbreak jacket to keep me warm.

🏃‍♀️Running shoes - I alternated between Hoka Bondi 8 and Nike Vaporfly 3

🏃‍♀️Running socks to prevent blisters - didn’t know, but this is so important!

🏃‍♀️Lightweight sunglasses for the sunny days.

🏃‍♀️Headband to keep my ears warm

🏃‍♀️Gloves with touchscreen feature

And the @runna app! I followed their plan and that kept me consistent - didn’t skip any of the sessions - and I’m amazed by how good is this app. It creates personalized plans based on your preferences and availability -and it gives you cues while you are running, so you can adjust your pace accordingly. I was able to improve my pace since I started! Use my code LAURAP and try it 2 weeks for free!

I had so much fun creating these outfits and experimenting different concepts. Like this one, layering a coat with a blazer. And I love the result! So chic and sophisticated!

I really hope these ideas can inspire you to be more creative when styling your winter outfits - especially now that the weather will be (hopefully) better - but not yet super warm.

🇫🇷AMAZING PARIS TIPS - delicious eats and so

GOSSIP GIRL 2.0 VIBES - did you know the Museum of

GOSSIP GIRL 2.0 VIBES - did you know the Museum of the City of New York was used as the exterior of Constance Billard School for Girls in the Gossip Girl reboot (2021)?

But this is not a post to talk about the series locations - it’s a post to celebrate the @museumofcityny

It took me years, but I finally visited it last weekend, and let me tell you: I think every person living here should visit - and if you are a NYC lover, you should also visit.

This institution was founded in 1983 and it’s dedicated to chronicling the rich and evolving history of New York City.

Some highlights:

- You are here - probably my favorite part of the visit. An immersive film experience that uses a rich archive of movies set in New York, combining thousands of cinematic moments across 16 screens. The dialogues and scenes from dozens of movies are used to translate that NYC feeling and what it means to live here. FASCINATING!

- Activist New York - this exhibition focuses on of social activism in New York City, past and present, with issues as diverse as immigration, civil rights, and sexual orientation.

- The Stettheimer Dollhouse in a New Light - this dollhouse is one of the museum’s highlights - and it features furnishings handcrafted over nearly two decades by Carrie Stettheimer. The details are so impressive!

Museum of the City of New York opens every day - and if you are a NY resident, you can pay as you wish (otherwise, tickets are $23).
