BEDROOM MAKEOVER! Every time we traveled and stay

BEDROOM MAKEOVER!

Every time we traveled and stayed at a hotel or Airbnb with a king-size bed, I’d think: “Gosh, this feels so good.”

Well, after 10+ years, we finally pulled the trigger and upgraded our bed to a king. My husband was like “whatever” at first, and after night one, he was fully converted: “This was so worth it.”

Here’s what we got:

🛏️ The Bed: We chose a hydraulic lift-up storage upholstered platform bed—because this is NYC and every square foot of storage matters. It’s from @wayfair and was under $300. Total win.

🛌 The Mattress: We splurged here. We spend a third of our lives sleeping, so it had to be good. We went to @mattressfirm to try a few in person and landed on a firm one (we’re very particular). No regrets.

🧺 The Sheets: The downside of upgrading bed sizes? You have to replace all your bedding. I ended up getting linen sheets from @onequince —and wow. Was I living under a rock? They feel so luxe, and the price is solid.

I can’t believe it’s over. I was so nervous, then emotional, then excited, then emotional again. Such a ride (and so many hills!). Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge was one of my favorite parts of this race - but more than that, it’s about the accomplishment and the adrenaline. I know it sounds cliche, but it feels so good to realize “I can do it!”. Also, it means a lot to run in this special city that I get to call home!

Thanks to my friends who cheered me up and celebrated with me - in NYC, in Brazil or any other part of the world. Means a lot 🥹

Less than 48h for my first race ever - which happe

Less than 48h for my first race ever - which happens to be a freaking Half Marathon. Can someone pinch me? I put my name in the lottery without thinking a lot, and I freaked out when I was selected. Three and a half months later, here I am! READY! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

So excited to cross the Brooklyn Bridge and run through Times Square - they only close it to traffic twice a year - for this race and for New Year’s Eve!

MY FIRST HALF-MARATHON IS A WEEK AWAY 🏃‍♀️

I can’t believe! I put my name in the lottery and I thought: let’s allow the universe to decide. It was right after the NYC Marathon, and I guess I was inspired my my friends who had ran half and full marathons.

I’ve been training for 3 months and the cold weather scared me at first, but I think I nailed the perfect outfit for my long outdoor runs. I decided to share this video to inspire anyone who has been thinking about running but is scared of the weather.

Except for the days I include an extra long sleeve layer, this was my go-to outfit:

🏃‍♀️Compression leggings that stay in place and feature a lot of pockets.

🏃‍♀️Thermal layer + windbreak jacket to keep me warm.

🏃‍♀️Running shoes - I alternated between Hoka Bondi 8 and Nike Vaporfly 3

🏃‍♀️Running socks to prevent blisters - didn’t know, but this is so important!

🏃‍♀️Lightweight sunglasses for the sunny days.

🏃‍♀️Headband to keep my ears warm

🏃‍♀️Gloves with touchscreen feature

And the @runna app! I followed their plan and that kept me consistent - didn’t skip any of the sessions - and I’m amazed by how good is this app. It creates personalized plans based on your preferences and availability -and it gives you cues while you are running, so you can adjust your pace accordingly. I had so much fun creating these outfits and experimenting different concepts. Like this one, layering a coat with a blazer. And I love the result! So chic and sophisticated!

I really hope these ideas can inspire you to be more creative when styling your winter outfits - especially now that the weather will be (hopefully) better - but not yet super warm.
