When I saw videos on social media about walking Manhattan from top to bottom I got really excited about trying. I didn’t know, but apparently the idea was inspired on Broad City TV series.

🍫 Before I forget - make sure to order the brigadeiros from my friend @brigadeirosnjoy

Last Saturday, my friends and I completed the challenge - and it was such a nice accomplishment (although my friends were cursing me at the end, lol, they said they loved it).

So here are some tips if you are planning to do it:

⏰ Start early: I would say 9h30am is a good time - we were a little late and started at 11am.

☀️Pick a time of the year when the weather is nice - can’t imagine myself doing this in August.

👟 Wear comfy clothes and shoes and don’t forget the sunscreen. Bring a refillable water bottle.

📍 Save some spots on your Google Maps but there are no rules - we followed Broadway for most of the time, but if I do this again, I would include Riverside Park and perhaps Hudson River Park.

‼️‼️‼️‼️And if you want a bigger challenge, keep an eye on @shorewalkers_ny - they promote The Great Saunter, bringing 3,000 walkers together to circumnavigate Manhattan - aka 32 miles!

I followed a recipe from @modern_honey website (with some twists) but I have a recipe for a Levain style cookie on my blog as well.

@frickcollection reopens on April 17th after almos

@frickcollection reopens on April 17th after almost 5 years! I had the opportunity to check the place during a preview (and I was lucky to be able to take pics, they don’t allow that, but it was allowed during the preview).

In case you are not familiar with, “the Frick is known for its distinguished Old Master paintings and outstanding examples of European sculpture and decorative arts.

The collection originated with Henry Clay Frick (1849–1919), who bequeathed his home, paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts to the public for their enjoyment.”

It was beyond my expectations- it’s stunning, and the location couldn’t be more perfect - you can cross the street and go to Central Park. Highly recommend - I still want to go back to explore with more time.

Open from Wednesday to Sunday
Tickets are $30 - and pay-what-you-wish admission is offered Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m.

👩‍🍳 @HomeCookingNY Baking Boot Camp - we spent 4 Sundays learning how to make cookies, tarts, and cakes. We had such a great time - and we were able to bring home our creations (and a lot of knowledge, of course!).

🎭 @myfirstexhusband - 4 actors take the stage to incorporate different characters that share the messy, hilarious truths of love, sex, and relationships. We had a lot of fun!

🎪@cirquedusoleil Luzia - this show features a rain curtain, pool, acrobats, surprises, and splashy special effects. I’ve been to a few of their shows over the past years and this was probably the most incredible production.

🍔@smorgasburg - the beloved food market is back - make sure to check my previous video about their new vendors

🧁@dearmamanyc - a spot in a non-conventional area of the city! This coffee shop/restaurant is near Columbia University and the menu features sandwiches, coffee beverages, and delicious pastries.

🥪@tapnyc - a Brazilian spot offering a 100% gluten-free menu featuring Brazilian delicacies like açaí bowls, pão de queijo and… stuffed tapioca.

🍪Chocolate chip cookie from jeans - I had seen so many people recommending this big chocolate cookie from Jean’s - and I was dying to try it. Is it worth it? Totally.

🥗@puravidamiami - I was dying to check Pura Vida Miami since they opened their first location in NYC and when meeting a friend for catching up another day, we decided to go there and I loved it.

🍮@berimbaunyc - probably my favorite 🇧🇷 restaurant in the city - they opened a new - and bigger location - in Midtown and I finally checked it! Love the food - but this pudim was just superior.

We had a blast yesterday at the New York’s Best Croissant - The 2025 Finale 🥐

Organized by @french.morning this event featured finest bakeries in the New York area will compete for the prize of Best Croissant in the City - and by purchasing a ticket, we could try delicious croissants and other pastries and breads from the contestants!

I’m not a professional, so all I can say is that everything we tasted was sooooo delicious!

Baking Boot Camp for Amateurs in NYC!

Last Christmas, instead of buying physical gifts, my husband and I decided to gift each other with experiences and here’s what we got us: a Baking Boot Camp for Amateurs at @homecookingny

We spent 4 Sundays learning how to make cookies, tarts, and cakes (I had to skip the quiche class for a good reason: my half marathon!).

We had such a great time - and we were able to bring home our creations (and a lot of knowledge, of course!).

They have a lot of classes and workshops - not only baking ones!

BEDROOM MAKEOVER! Every time we traveled and stay

BEDROOM MAKEOVER!

Every time we traveled and stayed at a hotel or Airbnb with a king-size bed, I’d think: “Gosh, this feels so good.”

Well, after 10+ years, we finally pulled the trigger and upgraded our bed to a king. My husband was like “whatever” at first, and after night one, he was fully converted: “This was so worth it.”

Here’s what we got:

🛏️ The Bed: We chose a hydraulic lift-up storage upholstered platform bed—because this is NYC and every square foot of storage matters. It’s from @wayfair and was under $300. Total win.

🛌 The Mattress: We splurged here. We spend a third of our lives sleeping, so it had to be good. We went to @mattressfirm to try a few in person and landed on a firm one (we’re very particular). No regrets.

🧺 The Sheets: The downside of upgrading bed sizes? You have to replace all your bedding. I ended up getting linen sheets from @onequince —and wow. Was I living under a rock? They feel so luxe, and the price is solid.
