C’EST FINI! 🇫🇷

Going back home with my heart full of beautiful memories and gratitude for this incredible experience in Paris!

Extremely proud of myself for never stopping chasing new things and learning more. French has been a language I’ve always wanted to learn and the jump I had with the classes at @alliance_francaise_paris was incredible. More on that soon!

And, of course, spending this time at my sister’s place and having special moments with her and my dear brother in law is something I will remember forever - thank you for these two for the hospitality, the jokes and the laughs! I see u in NYC!

And, of course, having some days in the city with my husband was also special. Not to mention the gelatos, the pastries and the restaurants - and the incredible people I met here too!

Au revoir, Paris! I hope to see you soon!

“Can I have a bottle of water?
Do you have Perrier?” - she asked the waiter, in French.

She was also able to do some small talk with the cashier about the most appropriate time to say “Bonjour” or “Bonsoir”.

She also paid for her purchase at the store and understood all the questions about getting a bag and the receipt.

Days earlier, she rehearsed a question in French while walking to the gym. She has been ordering her coffee in French every morning.

(She also had to switch to English to ask about how long she could keep her pastries out of the fridge and she couldn’t hold a conversation in French while asking for a medicine at the pharmacy, but she is choosing to celebrate her wins).

She is now heading to her last week studying French at @alliance_francaise_paris and she is feeling accomplished and proud of herself 🥹

I guess the most surprising thing about this experience is realizing that studying is a full-time job 😂 my brain can’t function properly after 4h studying French.

Jokes aside, this has been such an incredible, exciting and challenging experience and I’m very grateful for it.

On top of that, being able to build some routine and getting to explore Paris with my sister is definitely a plus that I don’t take it for granted!

@adidas10kparis was a special one (but they could do better with the bathroom situation!). I can’t think of a more perfect course than this!

The parisians also brought a lot of good energy! And having my sister and her husband cheering me on made everything even more special!

And please don’t forget to check @peppe.family - they have a few locations in Paris and I’m honestly still thinking about those pizza!

When I first heard about this race, I knew it was going to be an epic one, so I signed up immediately since I was going to be in Paris. Such a BEAUTIFUL and unforgettable course 😭😭😭 I was emotional.

Although I had some pain by the middle of the course and had to walk for a min, I finished strong and proud of myself. Plus, it was very special having my sister @flaneriephoto and my brother in law cheering me up along the way 🥹🥹🥹

(And it feels amazing to chase the dreams little Laura once had!)
