The best way to explore Madrid’s charming streets and corners: having my sister @flaneriephoto to capture these moments. Every time we meet - in Paris, in NYC or any other place in the world (now, it happens to be Madrid) I’m always ready for her question: should we go out tomorrow for a shooting?

She always makes us so comfortable and I always get amazed by the results - she is SOOOO talented 🥹❤️

Plus, we will have beautiful memories from this short and sweet season in Madrid 🇪🇸

Can’t believe it has been two weeks I published the first reels of this series, but so many things happened since then!

Without further ado, here’s my second winter outfit idea: a @sezane inspired outfit! I absolutely love their clothes and I love how their colors, prints and textures for Fall and Winter outfits. So I got inspired by their lookbooks to create this combination, featuring these gorgeous plaid pants (from Sezane!) with a bold sweater and other camel items.

¡Hola, Madrid! I’m so excited to be here studying Spanish for a month with @lae_madrid

This has been a dream of mine for a long time—I started planning this adventure back in April, and we finally here arrived last week! It’s my first time doing a proper student exchange program, and my classes started this week. So far, it’s been such an intense, fun, and incredible experience :) I’m so grateful and so excited.

SAVE THIS POST FOR YOUR NEXT TRIP TO BARCELONA 🇪🇸

This was our second time in Barcelona and we were in a more relaxed vibe, taking advantage of the food scene and exploring some other spots. I have a post on my blog about my first visit - and I will update it soon with these recs, but for now, here’s everything I recommend:

🍦@bilmonte.barcelona for a delicious gelato. We tried the pistachio and also de white chocolate.

☕️@tropicobcn for breakfast and brunch. Their menu features foods from different countries - including coxinhas from Brazil.

🧀@tapas2254 love the tapas here.

🍫@caua.cacao hot chocolate with a variety of cocoa beans to choose from

🏝️Barceloneta - is a classic - and I recommend visiting the new Mirador on the other side of the W. Hotel. It’s more quiet.

🍷@bodegalapuntual another delicious spot for tapas. We had a blast.

🥗@honestgreens I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE. Delicious saladas and bowls made with fresh ingredients. Everything we tried was soooo good!

🥐@brunells1852 apparently, they are famous for their croissants - we loved it

🥂@elnacionalbcn BEAUTIFUL space and environment featuring different eateries and bars.

🏛️Arc de Triomf - stunning. I recommend a walk around the area.

🏛️@casabatllo - we only saw it from the outside the first time we came to Barcelona. I enjoyed the visit and learning more about this project from Gaudí.

🥘@elglopbarcelona - it was a recommendation from a friend that lives in Barcelona. Such a delicious paella - and sopa de pescado.

🥦@teresacarles - vegetarian spot that offers a three-course meal for ~$13

🍰@joncake.es - a follower recommended me this spot and she told me it was the best Tarta de Queso (cheesecake) in Barcelona. We waited in line for almost an hour and IT WAS SO WORTH IT!

11 YEARS LIVING ABROAD - AND IN NYC - TODAY. I a

11 YEARS LIVING ABROAD - AND IN NYC - TODAY.

I always get nostalgic about it, so here are 11 highlights from these 11y calling NYC home—not necessarily listed in order of importance.

1. Getting our Green Cards in 2020 was a huge milestone. We had been through so much anxiety—especially because of the limitations of my “spouse” visa.

2. Completing my Italian citizenship process was another roller coaster, but I’m glad I took advantage of being in the 🇺🇸 to do it. It’s always good to have a plan B.

3. All the moments I got to spend with my family in NYC - especially when I helped my parents to surprise my sister here.

4. Making an impact through my work: from helping Brazilians plan better trips to NYC to hosting a podcast where I shared stories from immigrants worldwide and some real-life events with a beautiful NYC-based community.

5. Working with NYC Tourism and Conventions was a “pinch me” moment. It felt like a validation of all the years I spent creating content about this city.

6. Adopting Dalbit—because he’s made our lives so much better.

7. Turning dreams into reality—like seeing Hanson live for the first time. My 13-year-old self would’ve been over the moon.

9. Being featured on the cover of WWD with my beauty app (RIP). Over the years, I’ve had so many ideas and projects, and I’m proud not only of trying but also of knowing when to end things that didn’t work or no longer made sense.

9. Renewing our wedding vows—having another ceremony in this city that’s changed our lives in so many ways was unforgettable.

10. Meeting incredible people—those who’ve crossed my path, the special ones I’m privileged to call friends, and those who’ve stayed in my life despite the distance. Friends are the family we choose, which means so much when you live abroad.

11. Undergoing internal transformations and learning so much about myself along the way.

And...being able to live this amazing adventure with the best partner in the world.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM BARCELONA! 🇪🇸

2024 was such a strange year—a time of internal struggles, seeking clarity, and searching for answers. It was a year of learning to listen to myself and tune out the noise. A year of changing habits and starting to believe more in what I’m capable of and in my dreams.

It was a year filled with accomplishments, both big and small, and moments of sadness and joy—because that’s what life is all about.

It was also a year of allowing myself to change my mind, pivot paths, and realize that age doesn’t need to define or confine me. It was time to end chapters, and let things go.

Here’s to more growth, learning, and living in 2025! 🎉

And thank you for being here! ❤️ I appreciate that. A lot.
